Earl, I was just looking over some old e-mails and found one from you where you said that your mothers maiden name was SHAW. I have a Cagle/Shaw connection in my ancestry as well. I have very little information on my Shaw's but I wanted to see if you have any information in your files that might help me with my Shaw line. Abe Shaw, dates unknown, married Mandy. Mandy died in 1892. I only know of one child for them, a son named David Allen Shaw, b. Feb 1829 in Georgia, d. 10 Feb 1916. David Allen Shaw married Mollie Meridith in 1858. Mollie was b. 10 Jul 1835 in Alabama, d. in 1897. David Allen Shaw & Mollie had the following children: 1. Precious Zuba Shaw, b. 7 Jul 1891 in Saltelo, Tennessee. (my grandmother). She married Benjamin Jackson Alexander Cagle in 1911 in Savannah, Tennessee. He was b. 12 Oct 1891 in Serrogordo, Tenn. 2. Llina Shaw 3. Margaret Shaw 4. Tinnie Shaw After Mollie's death, David Allen Shaw remarried and they had the following children: 5. William Shaw 6. Bessie Shaw 7. Annie Shaw.
