    3. Tom and List - All I know is that Union and Montgomery Counties in Illinois were major destinations for NC to Illinois migrations 1815-1850 - a lot from the Piedmont section in NC - particularly Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Rowan, Iredell, Catawba, and Davidson Cos. And many, many of these NC-IL migrants to these counties were German (and not very likely to be Quakers (the latter from NC had a decided tendency to migrate to Indiana primarily and to Ohio secondarily. If so who are they? If there are also Kagle's who moved from PA to IL are they a new line or are they somehow connected to Leonhart as well? Are we dealing with two different Cagle/Kagle lines in IL? If they are two differnet lines, did they come together at some point? > > Thanks! > > Tom Cagle > Saegertown, PA > > > ==== CAGLE Mailing List ==== > > Your help to fellow Cagle researchers, is > very much appreciated.
