Hi group have been talking with this lady only about two or three days now and have a connection with two of the family here . there is a 3rd one John b. 1813 married Sarah unknown look at the names of the children . I don't have definitive proof that Andrew Jackson Hill, b. 4/25/1816 in Warren Co., TN is the husband of Eliza Cagle, but it seems very likely based on his name, age and place of birth. I did not have any information on who he married or children, but I would think we should be able to find a marriage record somewhere in Warren Co. I made a research trip to McMinnville, Warren Co., TN about two years ago and found a huge file of HILL information that I copied (it took me two days at the Magnuss Library) and have been going through it ever since. Among some of the papers I found a xerox copy of a thin, stern looking woman with the handwritten notes: "Martha Alice Taylor Cagle Hill; married 1) John David Cagle, married 2) James Calvin Hill. Mother of Isaac Benjamin Jacob Cagle, Andrew Jackson Cagle, Thomas Jefferson Cagle, and Mary Jane Hill." There was no date on the paper, but the name of the researcher was: Linda Lou Campbell, 1576A Hurricane Rd., New Market, AL 35761. Home phone: 205-379-3530, work 205-895-5880. I have never tried to call or write. They may or may not be current numbers. I don't know who James Calvin Hill is or how these Cagles and Hills fit with what I already have. Perhaps you do? Montique was in turn, the son of Benjamin J. Hill b. 1783 NC, d. May 1852 Warren Co., TN, married Rebecca Wallace, b. 1783 SC. And finally, Benjamin J. Hill, was another of the sons of Isaac Hill Sr., b. 1748 MD, who later settled in Warren Co. TN and is buried on his property there. Then I have another Elizabeth Cagle, no dates of birth/death, who married Asa Hill before 1827 in Warren Co., TN, no dates of birth/death, but I do know this Asa Hill was the son of Asa Hill, Sr., b. June 18, 1799 NC, and Louvisa Hill, b. 1802 GA. Asa Hill, Sr. was the son of Henry John Alexander Hill, b. 1774, d. 1825 and Susannah Swales. Henry John Alexander Hill's father was Isaac Hill, Sr., b. 1748. Asa married his grandfather's (Isaac Sr.) step-daughter, Louvisa Hill, daughter by Wm. Hill, and Lydia White Hill Jones, his grandfather's second wife. Louvisa and Asa were thus, not actually blood related. Do any of these Cagle/Hill unions and names sound familiar to you? I have more on some of them if they fit anywhere you can see. I will start trying to find a marriage record for Andrew J. Hill and Eliza Hill. I do believe this is the Hill you seek.
