For Mary Jane and List Mary Jane has Henry P Cagle living in Cumberland Co. TN in 1900 and dying there sometime after. It is my belief that he was in Whitley Co., KY at the time of the 1900 census. See as follows from the 1900 Whitley Co KY census 141 7 MA 127-130 Fox, James h 10-1878 21 m 6 T T T Coal Miner Laura w 3-1879 21 m6 Ill T T Joseph s 10-1895 4 K T IL Kagle, Have fil 1101827 72 w T NC NC The "fil" stands for father in law and it is his relation to the the head of household, James, and the w indicates that Henry's wife Catherine must have died between 1880 and 1900. Have (Henry P Cagle) is listed as being born in Tennessee and that his parents came form NC as we know Henry father was. He may have died in Cumberland Co but I feel this is a strong indication that Henry P was in Whitley Co KY for the 1900 census. James and Laura's child Mae, b c1915, is still living and she remembers her mother Laura M. Cagle who died Feb. 3 1926 at Westbourne TN. Mae's daughter, Rhonda is my cousin and she will post from time to time. The first person information has been invaluable. Also, I have the 1920 census for James and Laura and it gives Laura's name as Laura M. I have written for the 1910 census and will post both when they are here. .
