Their father was Jacob Cale , 1770-1836, a native of North Carolina, who moved with his father John Cagle Sr., ca 1740s 1826, from Cabarrus co, NC to Davidson Co. TN about 1800 . After old John's death, Jacob moved to Illinois, appearing in the 1830 cenus of Sangamon Co. (living in that part of old Sangamon which later became Christian County,) In 19=830 Jacob moved to Barry County, Mo. (Present JasperCo. Mo) where he died in 1836.
