Hi Jackie, (there are other people in our group that have the Hill family in it so I'm sending it to you and to my Cagle group. Will talk to you later, I told you I thought I had seen some of these names in your message, and they do fit into my familyline. Nancy jane 1840 Warren County, Tennessee Cagle, Jacob (Jr) 000000001-00000001 p.357 (1850 Grundy , TN) " John 0000001 -0020001 p. " (1850 Grundy, TN) " Henry 0100001 -02102011 p. 368 (d.1840s?) " Ingnatius 10001 -20001 p " (Missouri/Morgan AL) " Jonathan 00001 -3001 p. 332 (d.1840s " John 20201 -0101 p. 342 (1850 Warren Co. TN) '' John 010111 -202101 p. " ( " " " " David 01001101 -110001001 p 357 ( " " " notes; Jacob Cagle, Sr. 1755 - 1845, is not listed as a head of household in 1840, but is belived to have been living in Warren Co. , since he is known to have died there in 1845. In 1834, Jacob Sr. was apprived, for his pension as a Revolutionary War soldier the pension was approved and Jacob drew it until his death. John Cagle, p. 357, was probabley son of Jacob Jr., and the oldest grandson of Jacob Sr. ; Ignatius, p.368, son of Henry Cagle ; the identity of Jonathan , p.332, has not bee determined. Henry Cagle does not appear in the 1850 Warren County, census, and may have died in the 1840s; some researchers believe that Henry's widow was the Celia Cagle of the 1850 census of Lawrence Co. , ALA. John Cagle , p,342 (the younger John , in his 20s), was the same John who appeared on p. 347 of the 1830 Warren County, census. It is thought that the first six men listed avove were the descendants of Jacob Cagle , Sr. ; the final two men, however, John and David, seem to belong to another group of Cagles who had moved to Warren County, from Bledsoe Co., TN in the 1830s. John listed as in his 30s in 1840, was identical to John D. cagle of the 1850 Warren County, census ; this John who was born in 1800, earlie had appeared in the 1830 census of Bledsoe Co. TN. David Cagle, p.357, above , later appeared in the 1850 census of Warren County, TN. It seems likely that David, in 1840, was the male listed as being in his 30s; the older male (in his 50s) in the same house hold was presumably Davids father Charles Cagle , who died in Warren Co. in the 1840s. Likewise, David's wife was the female in her 30s, while the older female (in her 60s) was David's mother Susan. Charles Cagle, 1830, had been listed in the Tenn. census of Bledsoe Co. , near John D. Cagle . It might be suggested that Charles was the older brother of John D. Cagle. and that both men were the nephews of Jacob Cagle, Sr. 1755-1845 Warren County. some researdhers feel that Charles and John d. were the sones of Leonard Cagle of 1790 Moore Co. , NC.
