Jan, Are you a descendent of some of the CAGLEs that I mentioned in my post? As I stated, Martin Luther BURCHINAL was the son of Mattie Myrtle CAGLE/BURCHINAL who was the daughter of John Hampton CAGLE who was the son of George CAGLE (b. 1808 in NC) and Milly HENSON/CAGLE (b. 1811 in NC). This is documented in the book entitled "CAGLE PEOPLE" authored by Mr. Burchinal from Modesto, CA. George CAGLE and family migrated to Morgan County, Alabama in the 1840's from North Carolina. Some of George's children and families migrated westward from Alabama, ending up in Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, California, etc. I descend from Franklin H. CAGLE (b. 2/4/1833 in NC) who was John Hampton CAGLE's brother. Many of Franklin H. CAGLE's descendents are in the North Alabama area presently. Would like to hear from you again. Joyce
