I have been making some slight progress on identifying the ancestry of Mrs. Lizzie Cagle (1863-1902), the second wife of my g-grandfather, Joseph S. Fairchild. She married Joseph in 1901 in Copiah County MS and died about a year later. I have determined that her first husband was Jesse Cagle and, apparently, Lizzie's maiden name was also Cagle, so she and Jesse were probably cousins. With Jesse, Lizzie had children named Mamie, Walter, Jesse, Maggie, and Carroll Lee. Maggie and Carroll Lee (also called "Sexton") took the name Fairchild.
