I need the death date of the Jacob Hagler (of Mecklenburg & Montgomery Co., NC) who married Elizabeth Cagle (daughter of George Cagle and wife Rebecca) of Montgomery Co., NC. Jacob and Elizabeth were in Walton Co., GA in 1820 and were in Henry Co., GA in 1826. Carole
Sorry Frances, I haven't made a SC connection although family lore sez there was one. I've been unable to prove further back than my husband's gr grandfather Edward Loranze Davis b. 1866 AL.d. 1906. Possibly (but unproven) he's the son of Mason L. b. 1834 AL & Martha C. Dunn Davis. Mason was the son of Elisha b. 1802 GA (proven by Will), all were in Barbour Co. AL. Thank you,Earl, for the info on the reunion.
Earl, is there a keeper of the records for those wishing notification for the next one? If so, may I be added to the list? Martha
Yes, Pickens County, Georgia. The Cagle reunion is the first Sunday in August at Bethany Baptist Church. Bethany is south and west of Jasper and almost due west of Tate, Georgia. Located on Hwy 108 also known as the Waleska Hwy., can't miss it, white marble church with a cemetery full of Cagles and their kindred. Kim and others, I want to apologize for my writing. Lee and I have worked togather a long time and he can read my thoughts. What you see is my mind working toooooooooooo fast. I put a few things on the net to give others a chance to perticipate with us. Kim, we love your participation and and I will slow down. Yesterday, I was talking to Lee and told him I was not going to send him anything else because he says he already has the info. I put him to a strong test and believe me, He does have it. Earl, I did get your email on Avery Wofford and Edna Hammett. I will give it a hard look and contact you at you email.

Dear all, This email is so confusing - am I the only one who cannot make sense of it? Where do Ashley's words end and Lee's begin? I would like to suggest that when someone is answering another email, they put the message they are answering in italics or frame the original message they are quoting by "parentheses", so that the rest of us know who is quoting whom. Sometimes we tend to answer emails the way we would answer someone in a person to person conversation - but it just doesn't work the same on paper!
