She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Sherer; father, John Cagle; mother, Alice Hilton Cagle; daughter-in-law, Frankie Sherer; and grandson, John Michael Darby. I told him they probably were, but when he would do his retelling he would sometime leave out the word "probably". "Ashley" went on to play football for Texas Techs Red Raiders and "Gene", his twin played for the Okla Univ Sooners as a quarterback and defensive safety. LeRoy was more impressed with Ashley because he played defense and that was LeRoy's preference. LeRoy went on to play football for Midland Lee High School, Midland, Texas where he excelled at nose guard and middle linebacker, sometimes quick guard on offense, but defense was his forte. They were shown in the 1900 Mississippi Co; Mo; Tywoppity Twp. From what I understand this use to be a community just a few miles from Charleston, Mo. Bertrand, is also not far from Charleston.
