My great grandmother Ida Nettie (Martha I.) Cagle was born in WestFork, Arkansas in 1877. Her parents were Joseph C. Cagle and Emma Dotson Cagle. Roger Hoffpowier officiating. Burial will be in Danville Cemetery under direction of Rader Funeral Home, Kilgore. Mr. Cagle died March 13, 2007. He was born March 20, 1939, in Kilgore to the late Ben and Lona Cagle. He graduated in 1956 from high school in Kilgore and joined the Navy, serving in the South Pacific. He returned to Kilgore in 1958 and retired as a machinist from Lebus Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ben Cagle and Jerry Cagle; and sister, Betty Harrod. Sunday, Mar 25, 2007, The Oklahoman-Obituary Gene Dewaine Cagle, 79, a lifetime resident of OK, passed away Mar 23, 2007. He was born Sept 28, 1927 in Wewoka, OK to Otto & Audrey Viola Cagle. During WWII, Gene honorably served his country in the US Navy as an Electritian's Mate 2d Class. He provided a warm & loving home for his family by working as a skilled painter and was a member of the Painters Union Local #807. A loving husband, devoted father and adoring grandfather, Gene will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Proceded in death by his parents, sisters, Boots Schneider & Essie Hulsey; brother Max Cagle; and grandsons, Zach Adams Y Grant Cagle. Gene leaves wonderful memories that will be cherished by his loving wife, Alta Mae Carpenter Cagle of the home; son, Gary Cagle; daughters, Debbie Wilson & Carla Ray; brother, Albert Cagle; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchilsren. If we find that out, I'm sure we can connect him to the Cagle family tree we all share. He married Mary Osborne and lived Buncombe/Henderson/Transylvania Counties (county lines changed with increase in population).
