    3. to Leslie in Lockhart TX mailto:[email protected] I have copied your request and will be mailing to you shortly. Unfortunately, the citation you gave me just mentions Andrew DARWIN as a stockraiser in the area. I did some more checking and found him in the History of San Joaquin Valley qc979.4 G9hc by Guinn 1905 p1245. Highlights: Andrew Mitchell DARWIN was one of the earliest settlers in Fresno. He was born in Jackson County TN, the son of James DARWIN, a farmer. Andrew crossed the plains in 1852 to CA, locating at Millerton in Fresno County. Because of ill health, in 1875 he moved to Santa Rosa where he died in 1890 at the age of 69 years. He is interred in the Santa Rosa Cemetery. In Visalia, Nov 28 1867 he married Martha J. PATTERSON, and they had one daughter, Addie Cole, who died at the age of 2. After which they adopted a daughter, Georgia, wife of Mr. William H. BRYAN. >From 1870 census DARWIN, Andrew M. 49 TN Fresno Millertown PO 72 185
