Vivian Frances (Ley) PECK, dau of May Belle APPLEGATE and John Edward LEY, dau of Samuel Frances APPLEGATE and Mary E MARTIN. Source: The Fresno Bee October 10, 2001 VIVIAN FRANCES PECK Vivian PECK passed away at home in Sanger on October 6, 2001, at the age of 80. She recently retired after working 12 years at the Air Terminal Gift Shop. Vivian spent the last 32 years living in Sanger but grew up in Squaw Valley. She and her husband, Robert were longtime residents of the foothill community. Vivian is survived by her son, Bill PECK and his wife, Gayle of Squaw Valley, and daughter, Bobbe NEWMAN and her husband, Phil of Sanger. She is the grandmother of Amy NEWMAN of Anaheim, David NEWMAN of Morro Bay, Scott FRANZ and his wife, Danette of Reedley, Shantel PECK of Fresno, Kevin FRANZ of Squaw Valley, Brie PETERSON of Oceanside, and Bob PECK of Squaw Valley. She is the great-grandmother of Chloe FRANZ. She is also survived by her brother, Gene LEY and his wife, Jan of Rohnert Park; sister, Evelyn KNAK of Redding; sister-in-law,Alice LEY of Sutherlin, OR, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends loved Vivian for her kind and gracious ! manner, her sharp wit and her great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 10, 2001, from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Graveside Services will be held at Sanger Cemetery on Thursday, October 11, 2001, at 10:00 A.M. Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Rd., Burlingame, CA 94010.
