Very interesting. I checked the CAIF for your William DISTURNELL with no results. Also NDGW - same negative findings. I did check the CADI pre-1940 and Found Nathaniel F. DISTURNALL 77 died Fresno 11/10/1917 and got his obit. Need your address to mail to you. Also found his brother, Richard O. DISTURNALL, who died age 80 also in Fresno 6/3/1919 - but no obit. I know it was his brother because the obit for Nathan mentions a R. O. DISTURNALL. I also checked the census and found in 1860 DISTURAELL (yes, AELL), W. in Nevada Co p393 Eureka Nothing in 1850, 1852 or 1870 -----Original Message----- From: Tracey Disturnal [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 8:28 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Genealogy Helplist Hello Sandra, I am researching my Disturnal/Disturnell family. I came upon a listing on the web for a William Disturnell who is listed with the California Pioneer Society as arriving in 1849. You listed that you have access to the California Pioneer Information File, would that contain information relating to my relative? If it may, would you be willing to look into it for me? There are only 3 small family groups of Disturnals/Disturnell remaining, my family in Canada, one family in Pennsylvania, and one in the U.K. Because the name is so obscure every Disturnell is somehow related. I thank you kindly in advance for your time and generosity. Regards, Tracey Disturnal Calgary, Canada
