Per Margaret LEON's obit of 26 Feb 1915 in San Francisco, CA George A. was of Fowler. The obit didn't say where Edward was from. His sister Mary LEON CALLISCH was in San Francisco in 1920 (CA Census), I believe Katie LEON WOODFORD was also of the Bay Area.

I can help by looking for Samuel L. MARTIN's obit, check the CADI pre-1940 he died San Joaquin County 12 -7- 1914. Do you already have that? Have you searched the CADI for William? MARTIN is a rather common surname. I was born in the Burnett Sanitarium which became the Fresno Community Hospital and references to the Sample Sanitarium and the family in general. I think the child of the Samples was a contemporary of my mother and her brother and sisters. The Fresno County Medical Society has some old records on some of the early doctors who were members.
Margaret died Feb 25 1915 in San Francisco age 82. Edward died Dec 7 1915 age 43. I can check for obits in about two weeks. Will that help you? They moved to Fresno where in 1925 they res. 402 N. 9th St. Jasper is said to have operated a store of some type in Fresno and later developed it into a chain of stores. Would anyone have info or pictures of his store or stores? May have been general merchandise or grocery store. Both are probably buried at Fresno. Children: 1. Frances Harold Maddy (1904-1987) had a step daughter named Pat Newton. 2. Hughel Austin Maddy (1907-1973), don't think he was married. 3. Elmer Levi Maddy (1910-1932) died in a motorcycle accident possibly in or near Fresno. Wed Helen Burgdorff. Helen wed Lyle Schaffner second. children: 1.
