He traveled from Bainbridge Twnshp., Berrien Cty., Michigan to California in about 1850. He had the 'gold rush' fever and traveled with several other men, unfortunately he died there a year later (1851). I believe he would have been in El Dorado county since that was the center of the gold rush. Can anyone help me locate burial or death records of that time period?
