    1. [CAELDORA-L] Digitized Railroad Maps
    2. Norby Family
    3. The Library of Congress has digitized hundreds of their maps and made them available for researchers online. The Railroad Maps Collection covers the years 1828 to 1900 and is a part of the American Memory online section of the Library of Congress. You can search and view these digitized maps by visiting their web site at: http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/gmdhtml/rrhtml/rrhome.html Remember that learning what railroads were available as your ancestors were migrating to the west may help you determine how they got there and where they may have stopped. 1. [CAELDORA-L] General Look-up please: Paul Schwarz
    2. John Doe
    3. Friends of mine asked me to find out more about a distant relative of theirs by the name of Paul Schwarz. I already turned for help to NORCAL but they couldn't find the right person in the CADI. Therefore it's possible that he didn't die in California, but he definitely lived at some point in time in Auburn, Placer and Placerville, El-Dorado. Unfortunately I don't know when. Anyway I'd be most grateful, if somebody could help me with my research. (I might help you as well, if you need ranslations of German documents into English, that is.) I've got the following information on the person that I'm looking for: Name: First Middle Last Paul Eugen Schwarz Date of Birth: July 24, 1852 in Danzig/Germany Date of Death: unknown (he died sometime between 1926-29) Marital Status: divorced (name of wife unknown) Place of Death: unknown Other information: He might changed his name to Black (=English for Schwarz) or Schwartz. Also his name might be found in the mining records, since he is said to have owned a smaller mine. Thanks in advance, Olaf Boldt <olafb@my-deja.com> --== Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ ==-- Share what you know. Learn what you don't.

    3. VOLUNTARY, ANONYMOUS ROOTSWEB AUDIENCE PROFILER SURVEY. We hate surveys. They are intrusive, boring, and a general pain. Nevertheless, we need your help on this one. We are trying to sell banner advertising on the RootsWeb site so that we can use the advertising revenue to support the growth of RootsWeb and to keep genealogy data free. If we can tell our advertisers who you are, not individually but statistically, we can sell more advertising and charge higher advertising rates. By completing this survey you contribute financially to RootsWeb just as if you had made a donation. This survey is voluntary and anonymous. We do not ask for your name or for any other identifying information. If you choose to participate, please answer truthfully. We want the data to be accurate. We will post the survey results on the RootsWeb site in approximately two weeks. Visit <http://www.audienceprofiler.com/survey/submit.html> to participate. Thank you for your help.
