LAKEMONT YOUNG MAN ARRIVES IN EGYPT 1942 Mr and Mrs Reed Cady of Lakemont have recieved a letter from their son, Russell, who is an officer in the merchant marine on one of the large vessels of a United States company.The letter was postmarked Egypt and he stated that they had arrived safely at their destination without excitement. Obviously the weather there is warm and concerning it he writes ," Boy is it hot! By these standards you people have been freezing to death all your life. His next destination is of course secret.
