Cady Obit From a scrap book found at Dundee, NY Historical Soc. by a friend. Reed W. Cady Reed W. Cady of Lakemont, NY died unexpectly Tuesday morning July 10 1951 in the hospital in Penn Yan, after an illness of a few hours.Death was due to a heart attack which he suffered at his home on Monday.He was born in Troupsburg,NY March 18, 1881 and was 70 years of age. He was a graduate of Lima Seminary and Syracuse University. Both in NY. In early life he married Miss Hazel Guile of Fulton, NY who died in 1947.He later married Mrs Ethel Richardson who survives him. Mr Cady lived in North Tonawanda,NY In 1928 he was chief engineer of the Peace Bridge over the Niagara river at Buffalo. Later was the engineer of the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls.He was the manager of the Peace Bridge for seven years, retiring in 1935 when he moved to Lakemont. He is survived by two sons, John Cady of Hyattville,Md., now in Africa, and Russell Cady of Palo Alto, Ca., his wife Mrs Ethel Richardson Cady, two brothers, S.W.Cady of Fowlerville and F. B. Cady of Middletown; and one sister that the name was cut off from the clipping. Thanks, Shirley Cleveland
