Hello Cady compadres .... I am researching Sarah (Sally) Cady b. abt 1801 - possibly at Providence,RI. Sally m. Alexander McFarland a Scotsman at the Beneficent Congregationalist Church on May 17, 1820. Known children are John E, Sarah Ann, Alex Jr. and Thomas. It seems for a time Alexander and Sarah removed to Ohio for awhile as Sarah Ann was b. there according to a census. Sally d. 1848 at Providence,RI and is buried in the Locust Grove Cemetray but may have been buried originally in the West Cemetary. At any rate - no parents are listed on her death record. I ruled out numerous Cadys at Providence at the time - she missed both the 1820 and 1850 censuses to get a better track on her. Other Cadys at Providence - David, Johnathan,Joseph,David,Joseph,Shubail and Zebulon. Not all of these Cadys stayed at Providence - this makes it difficult. As a possibility she may be the daughter of Zebulon Cady who m. Sally Freeman although according to the Cady Gen - there are 3 children assigned to them with no dates or places. Another may be Shubail Cady who m. Anna (Nancy) Earle - both of these marriages occurred in Providence before 1800. John Scott-Ferree
