Well, I don't know if it is a connection or a coincidence (you don't give any dates for Hazel): Jessie A. CADY married John Polk Hazard, one of the original homesteaders in Box Butte Co, Nebraska in 1885. One of their two daughters, Maude Isma Hazard, married J. D. BLAKE in 1916 in Bismarck, ND. I don't know what J.D. stands for; his 3 kids (still living, but quite elderly) always refer to him by his initials. Jessie and John divorced and Maude spent her teenhood with Jessie's sister Ella M. Cady (who married Matt. Wing, a minister).
