Hi everyone, I trust everyone had most pleasant holidays. Much relief that Y2K was uneventful! I found an Augustus Cady in the 1860 census, a farm laborer, age 53 in Brooklyn, Windham Co. CT enumerated with wife Frances, age 43 and daughter Elizabeth, age 13. Does anyone recognize this family? Also, the Helen Cady I had hoped was my 3rd-great-grandmother in the 1850 census Killingly, Windham Co. CT turned out to be a 15 year-old girl. She was boarding, along with a brother Charles, age 13. Likewise, a Helen Cady in Ira Twp. Cayuga Co. NY, in the 1860 census was 25. Wrong ladies, for me, at any rate--does this help anyone? Suzanne Cady List Mom
