Hello lists, Earlier this year I followed everyone's advice and contacted the Oakland Library for an obituary look up. I sent them money, and they sent it back saying that they could not find an obituary for my people. The Oakland library searched the Oakland Tribune for 7 days after each person's death. I can't really believe that there was no obituary for these people. Can anyone suggest another possibility. Hilja Johnson, d. Jan. 22, 1986 in Contra costa Co.; lived in Berkeley, Alameda Co. She was 88 years old; maiden name was Mackie; husband: Oscar Johnson Oscar Johnson, d. July 14, 1980 in Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. He was 89 years old; wife: Hilja Mackie Johnson. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
