I am a native of San Francisco Ca. and my ggrandmother was a Catherine Gorman whose mother was a McNamara who married a Gorman. By tradition the Gormans and McNamaras were early Ca. pioneers and were possibly involved with mining. One of my ggrandmother's cousins was an Annie McNamara, and she married a Davis. I believe she had a sister named Elva who married a McGunagle. The McNamara ranch supposedly had horses and one of the s was a quasi famous trick rider in the early 1900s. I know some of the McNamaras moved to San Francisco and I have been trying to trace the lines with little luck. The ranch may have been in the Yuba area in the Gold Country or in and around Sacramento. The McNamaras were from Clare as well as the Crottys, and Gormans. Chris
