Hi, While helping my new daughter-in-law with her family tree, we found that her Dad had been adopted at the age of six by his Mom's husband in Contra Costa County. Would anyone know the procedure for getting step-parent adoption records unsealed? Or who to call to find out? The adoption would have been in the early 1960's. His Mom & (adopted) Dad have both passed away, and he would like to know more about his birth-father.
