Hello List- I am wondering if anyone besides me rememberers this quaint little childrens Amusement park. It used to be located where the Moose lodge south parking lot now resides. I live in Pittsburg California, I am 51 years old but still recall and have still a mental picture of the park. It had swings that went around. live ponies and a carousal, just to name a few. My grandmother, now deceased, lived in San Pablo( 1967) told me about the parks demise, Theman could nolonger make a profit, apparently vandals had gotten in let the ponies go into the street( and were killed) defaced the equipment ect. I would like to obtain a story about the closure of that little Park, Would anyone know when the property was sold. for redevelopment? would anyone also know if this was a small family run adventure? who ran it? was the years from 1955- say to 1967? Did this little park only havebusines on some Saturdays( weekends)? I only went to this park a few times when I was small. In 1967, when a friend and I went pased the park. I must got a vivid memory picture, for it has stayed in my mind, the stories because of what my grandmother told me, when she was alive.
