>From the current issue of the Bancroftiana, they have a article on how two Professors from Kennesaw State University, used the Bancroft Library, to do some of their research. In looking at the site found a few pages that are from San Francisco and California. One was of women working at the Ghiratdelli Chocolate Factory, in San Francisco and other one is of posters and paintings of "Golden Girls: The California Gold Rush." Hello lists, Earlier this year I followed everyone's advice and contacted the Oakland Library for an obituary look up. I sent them money, and they sent it back saying that they could not find an obituary for my people. The Oakland library searched the Oakland Tribune for 7 days after each person's death. I can't really believe that there was no obituary for these people. Can anyone suggest another possibility. Hilja Johnson, d. Jan. 22, 1986 in Contra costa Co.; lived in Berkeley, Alameda Co.
