This post also taken from a Calaveras newspaper but Amador names mentioned. (This was on right side of paper & all copied). Yesterday morning the people of Martell were thrown into a state of excitement when it was learned that John H. Fullen had been found dead in the rear of his saloon at the depot. He was boarding at the home of his sister who resided near the saloon, and the lady, Mrs.. Robertson, feeling uneasy because her brother did not come to breakfast at the usual time, got Mr.. DuFrene to make investigation as to the cause of delay. Mr.. DuFrene went to the side window and looked into the bedroom of Mr.. Fullen and called to him several times and receiving no reply effected an entrance and when he reached the bedside discovered that Mr.. Fullen was dead. Coroner Potter was summoned, a jury impaneled but there was no evidence that Fullen died from other than natural causes; presumably heart disease. Deceased was born and raised in this county and has a wide circle of friends, who deplore his sudden demise. (Amador Record) The new moving picture show, belonging to Richards of Angels Camp, which started up in Sutter Creek, with the intention of permanently locating there, was compelled to quit, owing to the unfavorable conditions presented. The three identified with the outfit passed through Jackson last Saturday on their way to Calaveras county. The handicap of $2.50 per night that they were required to pay for license while Ratto was allowed to fun by free grace of the Amador county authorities, was too much for them to buck up against. They exhibited an attachment for $112 levied against them by the local electric light & power company for electrical power, etc. They were running only two weeks, and of course the electric service could not have amounted to that much in that space of time. They left their paraphernalia in the hands of the authorities, and trotted home, bearing with them, however, a very poor opinion of the "square deal" as dealt out in Amador county. (Ledger) Nick Milosavich while at work in the Argonaut mine Tuesday, got thrown off the water skip just below the 3300 level into the shaft with the result that his breast bone was broken and the ribs on his left side torn loose. The unfortunate man was taken to the County Hospital, where it was deemed advisable to perform an operation with the hope of saving his life, but it was of no avail, the man dying this morning.
