Hi all...I think it pays to read each & every message, regardless if your family name appears in subject or not. In regards to message posted by Diane re. Lent.....there is listed a Mary marrying a George W. Brown in 1891. It's a possibility that her George W. Brown could be a son to my Charles Wesley Brown. Charles Wesley was born in NY about 1832 & appears in the Calaveras census of 1880 with his wife Mary Araya Brown (who was born in Calaveras County 1853), 3 children & a son George W. 18. This was the first I knew that Charles Wesley had been married prior to Mary. I have no idea where George W. was born but believe strongly that it could have been NY.
