He was a resident of Angels Camp in the early 1900s. I believe that he was killed in a log train accident. It could have been around 1901. I may be confused and it was his brother Henry Lafayette Halcumb. Sometimes the name is spelled Halcomb or Holcomb. It gets confusing. When my great, great grandfather died in Tuolumne in 1920 a John Halcomb, Jr. of Angels Camp signed the death certificate. Where would I go to find the resdents of Angels Camp around that time?
