Daniel Cable b 22 May1840 Monroe,Orange, NY son of John Cable and Millie Hall d 30 Apr 1912 Macopin, Passaic, NJ He served in Civil War from the State of NJ NJ Light Artilery. He was a vetenarian. He was an orphan or parents left him and his two sisters in 1850 Monroe, Orange, NY living with Aaron Redner. He was in Pequanock, Morris, NJ by 1860 living with John and Eliza Vanness. He married Catherine Vanderhoof and lived the rest of his life in Caldwell Township and West Milford. His second wife was Carrie Decker. He was buried in the Fairfield Dutch Reformed Church in Caldwell Twsp./Fairfield. He had 4 children William Henry who was b 5 Oct 1862 probably named after his uncle William Henry Vanderhoof who had just been killed in action at Williamsburg, VA. Her mother d when she was born. Gerardus and Emma Ward had one son Norman Cable b 1890 who married Mae Dodd.
