Hi Rosemary and all on the List, I have a fairly large misc. Cable collection mainly on the PA/OH Cables (includes a Cable family history), but also on other southern Cables, that I collected when I was researching my own Cable ancestry, that turned out to not be connected to either the German or New England branches or so it appears. I go back to a Solomon Cable, b. ca. 1760 Beaver Co.?, PA or he may be the immigrant, and later dies in Scioto Co., OH. I am trying to find a home for this misc. collection, as I haven't the heart to pitch it out. I would be willing to give this collection to a good home for half the copy cost investment I have put into this over the years & postage cost. If anyone is interested please contact me for details. Dear Rosemary: Many thanks for the obituary notice of Eliza Reese Cable. I know she has to be part of our family since a picture of her in a long black dress was taken in Moberly, Mo. is in our family picture album marked Granny Reese. Sure would like to make the tie. Michael Cable, son of Abraham Cable, was born in 1763 and married Barbara Smith. He died in 1819. Will # 7 Somerset County,PA 1819 locates his residence as Jenner Twp. and names seven children: Leah, Joseph, Susannah, Jonathan, Samuel, Benjamin, and Michael. So there was a child named Michael. John Hamilton Cable is my gggrandfather. I have have a lead that his father was a Jacob Cable, but there is a discrepency as to which Jacob Cable this was and who his parents were.
