Do you, by any chance, know where in Italy Peter Vicini came from? The Caminetti and Giusto families were also probably from Italy, but we don't know where to start looking there. Thought they might have been neighbors before coming over here. Thank you for your responses, I did find it on the map. My research has brought me to Jackson, CA. I am researching my Greatgreatgrand parents, Peter VICINI and wife Catherine. They lived in San Francisco. Their first child Annie, was born in Virginia, she was my Great-grandmother. The other 4 children, were born in SF, Carrie, Angela, Stephen and Louisa. Peter was a Fruit Dealer. I have tracked them through the census, from 1880-1920. And it took me to Santa Clara, CA. Peter and Catherine retired to Santa Clara, after the fire and earthquake in SF. They were residing with John MENDEZ and his wife Louisa, and their 3 children, Stephan, Dorothy, and Harold. In the last couple of days, have found where Peter VICINI, born Sept. 25, 1835 in Italy, died October 12, 1910, burial Santa Clara. Informant Mrs. C.M. ROLLE or RALLO. There was also another VICINI that died in Santa Clara, by the name of Francis Ann. May or may not be related. When I asked about Catherine it was mentioned that Catherine may have been removed to Jackson, Amador County. No death was located in Santa Clara. In the 1920 census it shows Catherine (84) yrs. old.
