I found this information through the Amador County archives in a book written by Elsie E. Dixon, "The Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, California, 1854-1904." I found many relatives of my grandfather's there--what a jackpot! I would be interested in what you know! Wait a minute--married in 1795 or, perhaps, 1895? From the birthdate I have for Katie, that would make her 15 at date of marriage (if 1895).
