In my Payne family Bible there is some information on the Breen family as follows William Breen born Co. Tipperary, Ireland settled in Memphis, Tenn. Married 16 Feb 1847 Mary issue 5 daughters. Margret C. b 7 Mar 1848 Mary Anne b 9 Aug 1849 Ellen b 15 Jan 1852 Johana b 26 Jan 1855 Catharine b 6 May 1859 Mrs Mary Breen died 5 May 1867 Mr Breen purchased the Bible from C.C. Cleaves Book Seller & Stationer Front Row, Memphis, Tn. How Payne got the Bible I'm not sure unless William Breen moved to Calif. Hope someone can benefit from this information.
