Jean, If you have the opportunity take a tour of the Kennedy gold mine. It was owned by my Great Aunt for many, many years. Jackson is refurbishing the old buildings and last time I was there (a year and a half) the progress was great. It sits on 80 some acres that you can walk. The tailing wheels and something. The main building is the most awesome. with the wood trimming and the place where they melted the gold. Hope you enjoy your visit there, the people in Jackson are wonderful.
