Be it known by these words that penance has been served for volunteering to extract event dates and places from the Amador Dispatch newspaper for the period of June 1878 through December 1882.(Typing is a drag.) On a more serious note, several list members have written to say thanks for finding names and/or dates of ancesters. Each of you are welcome. I had an ulterior motive for volunteering for this task; I was looking for dates for the death of my great-grandfather and the birth of his youngest child. I did find when g-grandfather died and the nature of his injury that resulted in his death. I did not find mention of his son's birth; he was born in Plymouth in December 1878. Three issues for the month of December 1878 were missing. Best regards to all, Llew Jack
