while looking vainly through the unindexed NYC 1855 census (part of the NYC 1855 census, not Federal) for my Giusto and Caminetti relatives, I came upon an entries for John Molinari 42, wife Turesia 37 (hey --- that's how they spelled it), son Joseph 15, Mery (?) 13 and Mergey 11 all from Eittley (read Italy), with Catharin 8, Luiza 5, and Terasia 2 1/2 from NYC. Ward 6, ED 6, entry 80. John Arata, 30, from Italy in US six mo, a musician, boarder in the house of Domnick Fregale 44 musician (Carolyn Fregulia's ggfather) and his wife Catherin 20 who'd been in NY 4 years Ward 6, ED 5, building 17, entry 93 Luis Arata, 21, boarder, in NY 1 year, musician from Italy same ED, bldg 127, entry 798 The LDS has filmed this census.
