They moved sometime before 1862, to Amador County. They lived in what was called "Township #1" in the 1880 census. It is usually said that they lived in Jackson. They had several children, most if not all of whom were born in Amador County. This is a conglomeration of what I've found: Eva Adelia Kay, born 15 dec 1862 Inga Kay (married Herbert Bright) Alma Roberta Kay, born 12 oct 1881, married Walter Hedgepeth Emma F. Kay, born 1860/1, married Walter Jansen Easissa? E Kay (name scribbled on the census), born 1860/6 Edward Kay, born 1865/6 Henry Edwin, married Rose Sanguinetti Willie W Kay, born 1877, died 1878. Wallace had a brother, William, who also moved to Amador... He had two or more children: Ella Kay, married (unk) Stewart S.S. Kay, married (unk) Hall There is also a Phoebe (Kay) Hall mentioned. Wallace was a prominant photographer in Jackson, and had a gallery in town. William was a bricklayer, or brick-maker. I'm looking for any ancestors, descendents, or other info on Wallace and William Kay. Specifically, I don't have any leads on who their parents are... thanks -Jason Gould, g.g. grandson of Wallace
