Hello all...I'm on a new tack & wondering if any of your Amador ancestors could tie into my names? This is what I have... (Most of these people were located in Jackson until possibly 1923) Sultana Jane WHITE was daughter of George WHITE (Djuro SQUIRTZA, SKVRCE) Sultana WHITE married first Charles Franklin GOSS & had two children: George Franklin GOSS & James Leslie GOSS Charles died in a 1904 Argonaut Mine accident & Sultana then married John Jewell MITCHELL It appears that Sultana & John moved to Woodland in Yolo Co., where she died in 1954 & John died in 1948. Sultana had two sisters, Henrietta WHITE FORD& Katie WHITE (who died without marrying), and two brothers Thomas WHITE & James WHITE. In Mrs. George WHITE's obit, 1923, there are 3 children living: Sultana, Thomas, & Henrietta. Henrietta WHITE FORD (whose husband's name was Melvin FORD) had at least two children, Melvin & Mildred,(who died somewhere Feb. 3, 1999 & is buried in Jackson Catholic cemetery)(could not find obit for her in Jackson newspaper). Am looking for a lead on the possible whereabouts of Melvin FORD & his descendants & any descendants of James GOSS. Thanks for your help. Jackie in California kimmee@volcano.net
