Hello Jeannie...and whoever was searching for Guisto & Perano's. Have you checked out the Native Daughter Pioneer Roster site? There's a pioneer,Nicola Perano, with the informant a Mary Guisto. Any questions, contact me. Jackie in California kimmee@volcano.net
I have run across a dilemma I'm hoping someone can help me with. Does anyone have information about the WOOSTER family in Amador County, specifically Clarence M. Wooster? The entry below lists Clarence WOOSTER as the grandson of Abner CLOUGH who I believe to be brother to Orson CLOUGH who is my great grandfather. he 1870 Amador Census lists the following WOOSTER children living with Orson CLOUGH and family: Edwin E., Clarence M., Caroline L., Lena J., and Austin Zylpha (at least I think they are all WOOSTER children). Entries below state Clarence WOOSTER to be a cousin in the first note and grandson to Abner CLOUGH in the second which would confirm that Abner and Orson could be brothers. W.A. Liversedge born in Volcano, and a member of the famous Hook and Ladder Co resides on an old Clough Ranch. He married Miss Katie Herbert, a daughter of that old pioneer lady, Mrs Orson Clough and sister of Hilda, Elizabeth and Grace Clough and of W.E Herbert, owner of the Sierra Marzana? Ranch near Pine Grove where CLARENCE WOOSTER, a cousin was born. Pg 86 Pine Grove Clarence Wooster, grandson of Abner Clough is a story teller and writer of rare ability. A Royal Battle. C.M. WOOSTER. A bear fight about 1970 at Dope? Ridge near West Point on the Clough-Walker Cattle Ranch. I ran across another CLOUGH family in Tulare County also tied to the WOOSTER family. Looks like a double line if I can figure it out. The family listed is as follows: Zebulon Montgomery Pike CLOUGH with wife Lucy LEE whom he married in Tehama County. They have a Berdina WOOSTER residing with them and listed as daughter to Zebulon. Zebulon Montgomery Pike CLOUGH can also be found amongst general information in Tehama County including some information regarding his son George Arthur CLOUGH. I'm sure it is the same person because the birth dates for George fit correctly. To really spice up the pot, there is also an Orrison CLOUGH b. about 1825 in MO who has a son named William A. CLOUGH. I have seen this name before but wrote it off because this man and my Orson CLOUGH were years apart in age and born nowhere near each other. Yet they have a very similar name and both named their son's William. There is no way this Tehama-Amador-Tulare connection is not related. Does anyone have information that could help me find this CLOUGH-WOOSTER link? Diana Busby-Knight Oregon
Hi Jackie That would be me again. I am researching the CLOUGH families in Amador, Mariposa, Merced, Tulare, Tuolumne, and Tehema counties at this point in time. I believe that Alfred Gilman CLOUGH and his son, Winslow T. CLOUGH are related to my Orson CLOUGH line in Amador County. Hi folks, Giovanni's death certificate does not reveal anything new, except that C.P. Vicini who Interred him, named Giovanni's father as Giovanni! Good ole naming patterns!! I am still waiting for the Voter Registration info to come thru and it will be another month before I hear from Mrs. Kennedy in Calaveras. I have this strange feeling that CP Vicini was handed down all the family info and possibly his decendents got them. I don't have the time to pursue this right now......but, will!! Jean

Posted on: Amador County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ca/Amador/316 Surname: Klauberg ------------------------- Daniel Klauberg was in the 1860 census in Amador County. he was 34, a miner, born in NY, lived alone, but had been married within the last year. He may be the same Daniel Klauberg that authored an article in the Dogtown Quarterly in Butte County in 1865. I'm pretty sure he belongs on my tree, but need confirmation. Does anyone know of him, or his wife? Thanks, Tanya

While in Boston this summer, I copied the naturalization information for Joseph BRIGNOLI of Parma who was in Boston late 1840s. I am not sure if this is the same Joseph BRIGNOLI who was in Amador, as I do not have the naturalization information for the one in Amador. If anyone is interested in the information, please let me know. If anyone has the naturalization place and date for the one in Amador, I would like to know.
