    1. [CAAMADOR] Runyon
    2. Kathy
    3. I come to Sacramento twice a year now, for 20 years, since I left Sacramento for Oregon. I was wondering as I read a old post of yours on the State Library, as the computer search is fairly new to me. Can anyone help me find a copy of information. Armstead Runyon ( Will A.L.T.A. ) Sept. 25 1776 (1/7) Santa Rosa. 9-24-1876, Death 9-11-1876. It reads, thirteen children in all to his wife Mary Runyon, He left the residents. To each of his thirteen children $5000. The executors are Solomon Runyon & Jaremiah Beam. The estate exceeds $100.000. Some time between his death and around this newspaper report was another newspaper report in either this paper or the San Francisco Call or the Sacramento Bee that has a story of how Armstead died falling off a buggy or horse. That is what I am searching for. I used to have it and can't seem to find it. I will gladly pay for your time, Thanks Kathy, Great Great Grand daughter of Sadie Runyon-Rippon.

    1. [CAAMADOR] Giovanni (John) B. Vicini, Bio
    2. Hi list, Remember when I was posting everything on Vicini when I found it? My last one was when we returned from our trip from California. I would have posted it in October. It was the bio for GB Vicini and it mentioned the Tam family and thats the one where it said GB walked from the Panama to California. I have lost my copy, I have gone through every piece of paper here, and can't find it. I am hoping that one of you saved it and if you did, would you mind sending it to me? Thank you so much! 1. [CAAMADOR] Amador county archives office
    2. I spent a day of my vacation this past week in Jackson, county seat of Amador county, California. It's hard to believe there are only two people working in that office. They are Larry Cenotto (Archivist) and Michelle Wilson (Archives Assistant). But what a pair of archivists! Both are very hard working, dedicated individuals! They bent over backwards for me and I'm sure they would do the same for you. The email address is: archives@amadorarchives.org and their snail mail address is: 500 Argonaut Ln., Jackson, CA 95642 and their phone/fax number is: 209-223-6389 If you ever get a chance to visit Jackson, CA please grab the opportunity. What a beautiful place! Loaded with charm and history. While there, I went to the Shenandoah Valley Cemetery and took pictures of my great-great-grandfather's tombstone and the tombstones of several of his children. If you do visit, please note the archives office is closed Monday and Tuesday and the actual location (not the mailing address which is above) is 42 Summit St., Jackson, CA. That is in the basement of a building next door to the county court house. Regards Bill Dillon

In a message dated 4/29/2001 4:00:13 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Villabray writes: I'm forwarding this message from Susan for anyone else researching Raggio or Ratto. << Carol: Today is literally my first attempt at genealogy. I do have some known information so I was plugging it in to check if it was correct and found an inquiry that you had made in 8/99. Here is the information I have : My great grandfather was David Andrew Raggio b.1842 in the Genoa area died in 1901. David Andrew Raggio married Rose Ratto in 1872 in San Francisco. Their children were George,Dozolina (my grandmother 1882-1956),Clorinda, and David. David Andrew Raggio was listed in the San Francisco census in 1890. This is just the beginning for me...hope it helps you. Susan Bray >>
