    1. [CAAMADOR-L] Hats off to Art!
    2. Steve Illum
    3. Anthony, Chapter 2 is up & running, now complete with its first part in tact. Yes, it has one minor editorial change needed, adding Boggs' name to the photo of the two boys in sailor suits. Otherwise, it's ready for review. I'll be adding Chapter 3 very soon. I would post it now, but just received a large number of newspaper articles, surely some of which will enhance the chapter. I appreciated all of your comments about the Rocco story, especially those drawing attention to the spelling errors, etc. Though I haven't had time to go back & check, I believe, by now, Art took care of every last detail. Thank goodness he's back in the saddle! Such a long fast for all of us . . . . Art is trying to catch his breath after his respite. However, soon we should be seeing the results of all of Jackie's microfilm reading on the website. Has anyone else received their film yet? I know mine is probably still at least 1 week forthcoming in the mail. I wish they'd figure out how to put them on e-mail. Steve

    3. Steve... I just checked my notes & I don't find your Hintmann birth. Sometimes notices are just little blurbs within "newsy" columns & they are very easy to miss. But, that's where I found the Sugar-foot Jones announcement. When I go back I will recheck that time period more closely. Jackie But, this might be of benefit to you.... >From Amador Dispatch, April 26, 1864 - Born at Clinton on the 22nd inst., to John Gesto, a daughter.
