Posted on: Amador County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ca/Amador/286 Surname: Perkins ------------------------- I purchased some old sutter creek post office "Applicaiton for Money Orders" from an ebay auction. There are a couple that might relate to your Perkins: $1.00 sent to E.W. Perkins, Ione, CA from Emma Naechter (?), Sutter Creek dated 11/13/1905. Do you know whether E.W. Perkins is/was related to the Perkins of Mendocino (they moved to Mendocino Co. in approx. 1850s from Maine)

Ok, I am off to the library at 4 pm sharp to look up an obit. There is no printer on the microfiche reader, but if someone needs something specific looked up and knows a general date, I can glean the facts from the Amador Ledger for them. Just email me with the info. Sorry the notice is so short. Email me if you have something. I only get the machine for an hour, so I can't search long, but I will try and help anyone out there. Sometimes the cemetery that they were removed from will tell where the new placement would be. The cemetery that I work at part time in Portland, Oregon is one of the oldest ones and the books were sometimes not kept up. I don't know about any other cemeteries, but we have index cards on all of the people who are buried there and who was removed. *Julie Researching: Canada: ECK, MACLACHLAN, SHORTELL England: ELLERBY, SLEIGHT Russia: ANKLAM, PAHL, RAUSER, RICHTER, SIVERT, SPIES Sweden: ECK (EK), ERSDOTTER, MARTENSDOTTER, PALSSON CA: D'ARCY, SHORTELL IL: EMERICK, LAWYER, SCHAFFER, SHAW IA: MOE, SCHAFFER KA: LAWYER MI: MCARTHUR NY: MOE OR: BRANT, BRUNDAGE, D'ARCY, DEAN, ECK, FREDERICK, GROSS, HALL, HEAD, HERSHBERGER, HOUSTON, KRAMER, LAWYER, NOCCHI, SCHAFFER, SLEIGHT, SMITH, SPIES, STEAGALL, TAYLOR, WALLACE VA: EMERICK, SESSLER WA: BRANT, LAWYER, MOE, OLSON, PATTERSON, WALLACE
If someone is listed as 'removed', would their records still be in the place from which they 'removed from' or would those records get transferred to where they went. Jean
