I was born in Kaiser Hospital in Oakland, not the tall one I believe is visable from Lake Merritt, but in 1946, the hospital that was located on the corner of MacArthur Blvd & Broadway in Oakland. The last time I was in the Bay Area, I don't recall it still being there, infact it probably ceased to be a Kaiser Hospital years ago, in light of the fact Kaiser has that more modern building that is seen from Lake Merritt. Does anyone know if Kaiser still has the hospital on MacArthur & Broadway or if not, when Kaiser gave it up? The info about it was told me years ago as a child [early 1950s] by my parents, both deceased now. Any info would be helpful...
