The newspaper most local to Hayward is the Hayward Argus (may be the Daily Argus). There is also, by the way, a list of newspapers, and the time frames in which they were published, at the Alameda County GenWeb site. It's not complete, but a darn good start. But to tell you the truth, Jessie, I think you would be better off trying to get the death notice/obit for David Simons. Do you have a precise date of death?
