I found some people in the 1921 Oakland City Directory and I'd like to find them on the 1920 census. When the 1920 census came up on Ancestry.com, they noted that there were some parts of Alameda County that were not yet available. Having the city directory pages at hand, I've tried to find the people listed, and a few of them can be found, but most (including the ones I'm looking for) can't be found by the search engine. Is anyone on this list familiar with the 1920 census of Alameda County and what parts of the city might be 'lost' or otherwise unavailable to (and thus not indexed by) Ancestry. com? There are three persons with surname Ansel living at 508 18th Street in 1921: Harold J., J.C., and Vivian F. There is an Anna Elliot living at 516 18th Street. Any ideas how I can find these people on the 1920 census? Thanks, Lila
