Loving father of Diana Wells & Alan Cox of Pleasanton, Jan & Rex Meins of Alameda, Gina Wells & Jerry Erny of Concord, Paul Wells & Bety Dyksterhuis of Carlsbad. Dear brother of Waiva, Donn, Joan and the late Walter Wells. Dear grandfather of 5, Jared Frakes, Allison & Brandon Meins, Kristen & Daniel Erny. Also survived by his stepmother Helen Wells, sisters-in-law Carol Perry & Elvira Lloyd, and nieces & nephews. A native of Casper, Wyoming. Aged 72 years. A veteran of WWII US Navy Submarine Service. Retired after a 26 year career with AC Transit, he then began his own New Bus Inspection Company, Wells & Assoc. He was honored by the American Association of Blood Banks for his generosity in unselfishly donating 99 units. A devoted family man who touched the hearts of many and will be remembered by all. Friends are invited to call at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, on Saturday, November 8, 1997 to attend a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. [a 1st cousin]
