Looking the old news papres it also seems that there were several Societies in Alameda California that were formed for meeting and participating in Cards Dinners dancing ect. with people formerly of the same State such as the Wisconsin Society, the Oregon Society, Washington State, The Ohio Society, Michigan, Indiana, Alaska, Colorado etc. I wonder if these Societies kept any records and if they still exist?
