    3. Hi Rebekah, Go to http://www.vitalrec.com and click to you get to the Alameda Co., CA, page. Print out the form they provide for you. If you don't know the answers to all the questions, say "unknown". And keep in mind anyone can get a death certififate for anyone who died in Calif. It will be stamped in open block letters, NFORMATIONAL - NOT A VALID DOCUMENT TO ESTABLISH IDENTIY. You will be able to read everything that's on the document. The state of California turned over the death certificates to the individual counties about a year or so ago. When that first happened I sent for one through Alameda County and got it back in a couple of weeks.
